French teacher for adults — conversation at the heart of learning

Wendy — French teacher

If you want to speak French more confidently, connect with French culture, and actually use the language in real conversations, you're in the right place.

I help learners of all ages build real conversational French skills through lively discussion about everyday life—family, hobbies, work, travel, culture, and whatever interesting topic happens to come up that day. Whether you join a structured French class, a private French lesson, or a relaxed drop-in French conversation group, the goal is the same: to help you feel comfortable speaking French and enjoying the process of learning.

My classes are interactive, supportive, and often a little bit silly (in the best way). We talk a lot, laugh a lot, and sometimes even sing French songs. I'm a big believer that everyone learns differently, so I encourage students to use whatever helps the language stick—flashcards, practicing conversations with themselves in the car, singing along to music, or, if the opportunity arises, accosting an unsuspecting person and trapping them in a French conversation.

My own love of French started in my early teens, when I fell for the language's rhythm, humor, and expressiveness. That fascination eventually led to a master's degree in French, many trips to France, and even a stint working for Club Med, where I spent time with French tourists and experienced the language the way it's really used.

I've been teaching French for more than 15 years, working with children, teens, and especially adult language learners. Today I run my own business offering small-group French classes, private French lessons, and conversation sessions designed to help students build confidence and fluency in a relaxed, friendly environment.

If you love language, travel, culture, and good conversation, you'll feel right at home here.

Bienvenue — I'm so glad you're here.
